Mission Statement :
We are a community -based organization serving those in poverty. We aim to help low-income individuals by meeting their basic needs and maintain self-sufficiency.
We provide recreational and social programs for children that live in high poverty neighborhoods.
Food Pantry- To feed the hungry daily with a network of partners. Most of the food is donated by individuals or local organizations. The efforts of our many volunteers and donors assure that food is provided with sensitivity to the community.
Clothes Closet- Our clothes closet is set-up to serve the community each day by providing free clothing to those in need. All individuals have the option to come in and select clothes that have been donated from others in the community.
Back to School Program- SICOM distributes new backpacks filled with school supplies, along with new or gently-used clothing at our Program Center to over 100 school-age children in our community to help them start the new school year. Volunteers help sort donations, stuff backpacks with newschool supplies, and distribute backpacks to families.
Thanksgiving Basket Program-
Every year, SICOM distributes Thanksgiving baskets to over 100 local families containing
